Volunteers are the heart and hands of our mission. Every rescue, every adoption, every second chance we give —
it all begins with people like you.

Whether you volunteer once a week or once a month, your time and compassion help animals find safety, healing, and love.

When you join The Rescue Crew, you join a community built on kindness, teamwork, and a shared belief that
every life matters.

Start Your Volunteer Journey

Before submitting your application, please complete our Volunteer Orientation & Training Video.
In this video, you’ll learn who we are, how our foster-based rescue operates, and the many ways you can get involved.

You’ll answer a few quick questions along the way, and when you finish, you’ll automatically be directed to the Volunteer Application & Agreement Form.

This step ensures every new volunteer understands our mission, expectations, and values before officially joining the Crew.

Volunteer Opportunities

There’s a place for everyone on the Crew — whether you prefer hands-on animal care, behind-the-scenes support, creative roles, or leadership opportunities.

  • Process adoption applications, conduct background checks, finalize adoptions, and follow up with adopters. Strong communication and organization skills are key.

  • Manage shelter intake and rescue coordination. It’s often fast-paced and emotionally heavy work — but incredibly meaningful.

  • Support foster caregivers, coordinate vetting, and assist with medical care needs. Basic medical knowledge or willingness to learn is welcome.

  • Provide daily care, enrichment, and support for the cats residing at The PURRfect Match adoption center. Help ensure every cat stays healthy, comfortable, and ready to meet their forever family.

Morning and evening cat care and cleaning shifts are available, or you can further train to welcome visitors and assist with adoptions during public hours.

  • Onboard, support, train, and communicate with foster caregivers and volunteers — strengthening the backbone of our network.

  • Capture photos, write bios, manage social media, and share our stories to help pets find homes.

  • Coordinate fundraising, adoption events, and community outreach efforts.
